DIY Craft for Red, White, and Blue Tribute!

A Do-It-Yourself craft Safety-Pin of Tribute!

 A Pin of Tribute for a Veteran in your life, or to tribute a loved one in remembrance on Memorial Day. There are many days set aside to honor those who have served in the military. Some of these days include Veterans Day on November 11th, Memorial Day on the last Monday in May, and Armed Forces Day on the third Saturday in May12. There is also a day set aside to honor K9 Veterans on March 13th.

An easy craft project for all skill levels of crafters, all you need is some safety pins and some beads! 

What you need:

Pin of Tribute:

  • Beads (red, white, and blue) dollar store has them in all sizes in the crafts section!
  • Safety Pins (medium to large) Dollar store has them in small packs in the sewing section).
  • DIY instructions

Bead Pins

  1. Beads- Count out 10 small blue beads for the Stars.
  2.   Count out 15 red beads.
  3.  15 clear/white beads.
  4. 10 Safety Pins,
  5. Using the image below for guidance.
  6.  Place beads on table to the design for the flag.
  7.  I used 5 small blue beads, 2 red, and 2 white for the first 4 safety pins.
  8. Then added alternating red and clear beads.
  9.  The last 5 safety pins, I only used the alternating clear and red for the pin strips of the flag!

HERE IS THE PATTERN: B-Blue, W-White/clear, R-RED

lastly Add all pin ends through the last safety pin!

 These are not according to the actual flag, it has been arranged to the size of the capacity that the safety-pins size.

Now you can pin your work of art anywhere you like! Pin it to your bag, give it to your Veteran you know in your life!

 The tribute Pin could be used as a badge or hang it from a lanyard and make a necklace!
